The Allman Brother Band performed 71 concerts in 1973, including:

 

Summer Jam at Watkins Glen (July 28, 1973): Often recognized as one of the largest gatherings in US history, with tickets sold in advance at $10 each for 150,000 attendees, although actual attendance was estimated at 600,000.

 

However, Led Zeppelin had the largest, most lucrative North American tour in 1973, grossing over $4 million (approximately 30 million dollars in 2026 dollars) across 36 shows and setting new attendance records.

 

Their 1973 tour, supporting Houses of the Holy, broke box office records and was hailed at the time as the biggest in U.S. history.
